Hello! My name is Oneida and I am the founder of LAÜD Recycled.
I was born in Elche, a city where footwear is one of the most important traditional industries. I have always felt a special connection with this sector.
I love fashion, in particular shoes, but I am also concerned about climate change, labour exploitation, I am outraged when I go to the beach/mountains to see everything covered in plastic/garbage and I am concerned that as a society we do not change our consumption habits in order to improve.
LAÜD Recycled is my particular way of contributing to change. A change that changes the path of where we are heading.
She is Irene Brotons, the designer of LAÜD Recycled and my partner in adventure. Together we have seen the textile recycling process, visited factories, contacted suppliers, prototyped, made mistakes and finally made LAÜD Recycled possible.
Behind us is a great team of suppliers and factory.
Our collections are born under ethical and sustainable values. They are manufactured in Elche, in small family factories, which for years have given and give work to many families.
Working with local factories allows us to produce collections that reduce our carbon footprint. Compared to conventional, non-sustainable footwear, our footprint is reduced by 40%.
Each of our products is made by hand. An artisan process that is supported by technological development.
The result is a timeless, versatile, comfortable and sustainable collection, made of vegan materials and manufactured in an ethical, fair and sustainable way.
A collection that goes with your style and will help you reduce your footprint on this planet.

For every pair sold, €1 is donated to Ocean Sole's Mision, a non-profit organisation that collects rubbish from the oceans and rivers and recycles it into art.
Ocean Sole Africa promotes the development of marine conservation while creating employment opportunities. They specialise in the creation of functional products and the reuse of flip-flops.
The flip-flops are collected from the shores of the beaches or from the ocean by local fishing boats.
In this way they generate employment, in a country with a 40% unemployment rate, but it also allows them to make society aware of the situation of our seas and oceans.
Each year, Ocean Sole's Mision collects about 47,000 Kilos of flip-flops, generating about 90 direct jobs and providing education for more than 10,000 people in the community.
For every $20 donated, 66 kg of waste from the oceans is collected and recycled.
The term "project" represents the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
